NODC
NODC - Egypt was established more
than 35 years ago as part of the international
network of national oceanographic data centers
in the framework of the UNESCO/IOC's programme
for International Oceanographic Data Exchange
(IODE).
The main functions of the NODC are to:
- Collect and prepare national oceanographic metadata base.
- Receive, manage and dissminate oceanographic data and products.
- Promote the exchange of Ocean data and products at all levels.
- Establish a networking of all stakeholders to facilitate the exchange of data and products.
- Provide appropriate training in marine data and information management.
- Organize training workshops and seminars for the benefit of the marine community.
